ACCADEMIA ITALIA Architectural Workshop draws the name from the famous ACADEMY of Plato (Ἀκαδήμεια), the school founded by the great philosopher in 387 B.C. at Athens, Greece. According to Plato's Philosophy, the final purpose of the architect is to create deep Armony and unity in the living environment, according with the transcendent laws of the Cosmos, that reflects in the phenomenological reality. These universal law, expressed in terms of Proportions and Ratios, originate at the same time the beauty and the harmony in every expression of human art and natural creation, so that we can find a connection between the aesthetical rules in the arts and the ancient mathematical concepts.
The Pythagorean and Platonic schools used to divide their education in 4 majors disciplines, Astronomy, Geometry, Mathematics and Music, closely related each others, and expressing the ideal perfection of Macrocosmos and Microcosmos: the architectural project must reproduce this ideal perfection on the design, combined with the efficiency of functional planning, for create, or, better, re-create the perfection of the wonderful creation, for an ideal environment suitable for the human nature as a whole.
